Well aside from the transfer remours, the poor run of results, the fact pardew is most likely to be sacked out of any manager in the PL.

I was wondering which players have been your stand out players of the season

For me its anita, closely followed by marve

Apart from the last few games, Santon was Immense. Ba was obviously good.

Anita would get my vote also. He's also showed class, even when he was still getting used to the pace.

He's a box to box CM and works his arse off.

Anita has been awesome in the past 4 or 5 games...I think he could be that missing link in our midfield 3 (work rate of Jonas but with better passing, tackling and movement).

Krul has been most consistent for me...it's rare that he concedes from the first shot and far too often you will hear the commentators says "great save Krul, (insert opposition strikers name) with the follow up" ...well that or ****e Williamson deflections!

It's really annoying how some people see our goals conceded tally and say Krul is off form and stuff like this.

He's been making awesome saves, and without him we'd have lost some games by 3-4 more goals.

Couldn't bring myself to knock Krul, he's a great keeper, just a pity that he seems a one man defence at times.

krul saved on average 9/10 shots at him, He cant save them all, When our defence is getting 10 clean sheets a season. Then we can judge krul correctly imo

Voted for Anita, who after a quiet start has really impressed me, skillful, creative and never stops running.
Secondly l voted for Demba Ba, who has scored a hat full of goals for us despite our team playing poorly, l for one am gutted we are losing him. He also gets my vote as a thank you for all he has done whilst wearing the Black and White.
If it was not for Demba, l would have also gone for Marvo, who wasn't always in my good books, as l thought him a little lacking in spirit and he would go AWOL. However, recently he seems to be finding his form and a bit more effort/passion, and has looked true quality in the HBA mold. I hope he continues to get decent game time and the talk of using him as a makeweight in the Remy transfer is just silly paper talk.

Comfortably Anita for me. Had a rocky start but is already looking a class act. Then I think Benni up until his last couple of games before injury has been really consistent. He can't be wonder boy every game but has given his all. Ba was first class.

Santon had a good spell up until December. Been poor since. Tiote has been average and pretty poor at times. Simpson has done ok. Perch has done ok.
Willo has done as well as I think you can expect him to at this level. Cisse is trying and has been fairly good in recent weeks. Out of postion too. Sammy has gone backwards but does need time.

Krul, Colo, Jonas have been the lowlights for me, particularly Colo. About 6 games in a row now he has cost us a goal/played a part in conceding one. For a man of his ability hugely disappointing. Krul has been no where near his level for me but that is just the way it is with young keepers, they have bad spells. Look at Joe Hart. Jonas - I love the man but his level has seriously dropped off this year.

Marveaux, Obertan and Bigi have been 3 recent positives for me.

As for Yohan, barely seen him but was in average form bar that Liverpool goal.

Taken Perchie a long while to settle in but he's starting to play more like he did for Forest, he had a great game against us when we played them down there in the Championship. He's doing ok at the moment and Oba is starting to show what he can do too.

I've gone for Anita and Ben Arfa.

I refuse to vote for Ba on the basis he's going to Chelsea to sit on the bench and he's not a Newcastle player any longer. <ok>

" All things aside, who's in need of praise?"

The fifty odd thousand who pass through the turnstiles. And, er, that's about it.
