Racing today comes from Ayr, Yarmouth, Windsor, Beverley and Ballinrobe.

Congratulations to all for the magnificent efforts on the weekend, we should all have a pocket full by now. I suppose after her win in the G1 Irish Oaks, Blue Bunting can now claim top status as the three year old filly of the season. Godolphin and Dettori, what a team. Do you think that they got a special kick out of winning a race sponsored by Darley?

    All naps and comments welcome.

    Ayr.
    14:30 Eraada. Cats.
    15:00 Spes Nostra. The General.

    Yarmouth.
    14:15 Equity Card. Bbash.
14:45 Tiberius Claudius. Roto. Third 8-1.
    15:15 Set Me Free. cyc.
    16:15 Brinmore. Oddy.
16:15 Lion Court. Degs. Second 7-2.

    Beverley.

    Ballinrobe.

    Windsor.
    19:10 Lovage. Nass.

Maybe a good day to keep the hand in the pocket, but for those who needs are such that they need the thrill, the 15:15 at Yarmouth looks a well contested event. Early favourite Arabian Heights had a strong win on the Polytrack at Wolverhampton, but has to do it on turf today. He came three deep and won as he liked. I like Polytrack form, it usually equates rather well, but he seems a bit short for mine. I prefer the Fallon ridden Set Me Free who had an easy win at Redcar. Another with an outside chance is the top weight Wiqaaya who has to concede lumps of lead to the rest. But there is a chance that he might just defy it today. I've settled on Set Me Free.

I'm just an angry man Minty. Whenever I hear the name Betfred, I come over all cold. And I can only place this horrible feeling squarely at the feet of Nass. I fell for a trap he laid for me a few days back. The mongrel. I'd travelled through decades of ignorance, thinking that any company with Fred in it's name, must be a wonderful organization, but Nass ripped the blinders from my bright, women attracting eyes. When the family of a man with a name like Curley, gets it in the rear end....well... I don't know what to say, I'm just shattered.

I think today could be a good day for one Ms R Carr. I wonder what the boys in the North have to say about her chances this fine day?

Now listen here, mintlump, my second name is Fred so what the hell has it got to do with the t'other Freds in this world? Just remember, our brilliant people in power gave away the Tote to BetFred. Unbelievable. But don't blame the Freds of this world. Like blaming my missus for Hitler; she wasn't even born when he was around.

Digressing, anyone see the WFC Final yesterday? That tieing goal (2-2) for Japan by Homare Sawa was absolutely brilliant. What a glorious flick to bamboozle about half of the U.S. defence. The final penalty too was an object lesson in how to fire-in a spot kick? Great game, although the womens' game only appears to be a big deal in Germany (and how), USA, Sweden and, now of course, Japan?

Outstanding performance from Darren Clarke, what a gentleman too. Played percentage golf and held it together very well.

Awesome 13 months for the Province <ok>

Nass: When you get a minute take a look at the ride by Frankie on Orders From Rome in the Super Sprint, cannot work out if the horse was run off it's feet or Frankie was quite easy being drawn on the wrong side?

Lilys Angel nearly pulled it off for us! I too backed her early doors on Saturday morning :emoticon-0103-cool:

I think he was outpaced, the fact he couldn't get to Verbeeck at Sandown suggested to me that he was in need for an extra furlong. Verbeeck gets outpaced over five furlongs yet still managed to win that day.

I think the two later Tatts sales races are going to be targets for it now, firstly over 6 and then over 7.

Lily would have won had she not been carrying a listed race penalty. It cost Middleham Park Racing dearly did that.

If I can put my two cents worth in Gaz, take a close look at him leaving the stalls, he scrambles when he hits the turf, leaving him last. He lost the race before he got out of the stalls. From there, over 5 furlongs, Dettori had no option but to ride him the way he did. It was a wonderful run Gaz. I wouldn't write him off just yet.

Cyc: He went straight on my 'Nag Me' list mate <ok>

Nass: Totally correct mate, given a nice ride and 100 yds out i thought Hanagan had the race won, gutted to get beaten by my 'own' yard :cheesy:

Never mind, i am positive i will recoup the losses from Orders From Rome ;)

Not too many decent betting opportunities today but if the price is right (7/2 or higher) i shall be backing one in the 630 Bev:

Kevin Ryan is going well and also won this race last season. He tries again tonight with a son of Mind Games and also has the excellent Philip Makin aboard so NO MORE GAMES could well be very speedy and take all the beating.
