All the talk of ins and outs, and nothing on more cover/competition for Jose. Everything concerns more and more midfielders, we could field 11 of them, and while we have a stable defence, we all worried about how thin we were at left-back, and nothing has changed.

Johnson and Robinson, Agger if desperate <ok> I'm more worried about Enriques totally one footed distribution. Great defender though.

Yeah, it's a slight concern but as billy says there's a certain amount of cover.
Much prefer Johnson on the right and not sure if Robinson is the real deal (yet?).
Since fabulous Fabio left I reckon it's a position BR is looking at,he did say
recently there's 'a few deals' being discussed.

I liked Robinson when he played a few games in the first team. Looks to have real pace which is always handy as a full back.

Johnson is more than capable at LB and also allows him to cut in on his right where he can be dangerous. With Kelly more than capable at RB I wouldn't mind Johnson/Enrique being used at LB and Johnson/Kelly at RB with Robinson being used in CC unless he goes out on loan somewhere.

Talking about loans, I'd love to see us link up with a lower league Spanish/French/German team which allows us to send our younger players out there to gain some experience playing in different countries and working on their technical skills. Think it would help them develop as a player massively rather than spending time playing against long ball reserve teams from England.

Jack Robinson! or as previously stated johnson left back, kelly right back!

Whatever happens Kelly has to start, for me he is better than johnson and definitely better than enrique

I am a massive fan of Jack Robinson though!

Don't agree Robinson can step up but if the manager is not sure then Johnson switches.

At worst Carragher could do a job at left back

I think Robinson is ready to step up and will be fighting for the left back spot this season.

i agree with noble.... robinson has a year off with injury as a bare 18 year old so how can a top 4 side consider that adequete cover?

yes others can play there but at the disruption of other positions.... now if we had a policy of kelly right and johnsons left ok but again both are injury worries.

There is always January if it turns out to be an issue. Personally, considering our budget seems lower this season I would say it can wait as we have bigger priorities.

Danny Wilson can play left back.

i agree the priority on this should be lower but i don't agree wilson can do anything.. that remains to be seen.

for me forward and midfield if we play 433 are priorities.... someone eventually has to express a concern all rodgers seems to be doing is approaching guys he had before... is dempsey a real move? could it be he needs to rebuild socuting from ground up? who knows.

We dont know this for definite. Sure theres Borini, as well as Sigurdsson, and Allen seems a strong possibility, but we could have contacted other players under the radar.
