All Quiet On The Eastern Front

It is all quiet on the eastern front
As Hughton C begins on his new reign,
For whom and where will he make his next punt
To find that so special link in our chain

Will he return to Brum as some have said
To whip the cream off, and take Davies C,
Quite a coup it would be, although once fled
He doesn´t seem that sort of man to me

But could agreement be reached, then who knows
I just hope no-one leaves in part exchange,
So much can happen in transfer windows
And also much, that to us, might seem strange

But on the face of it, to send one Vaughan
As bait, would seem risky in the extreme,
Especially if Martin´s not in the warm
When Hughton comes to assess his new team

And talk of Chris McCann interests me
An odd name to be linked here, at first sight,
As with all rumours we must wait and see
Just how many of them do turn out right

But midships would seem where our strength does lie
Unless of course some soon will walk the plank,
We know that when some join, then some may fly
But there we do seem filled up in the tank

But in this next few weeks we should learn more
An exciting time it always will be,
And I´ve full faith in Hughton, on that score
To do whatever is necessary. OTBC

I know dave, but pre-season training at Colney is not all football skills and tactics. There's a large amount of conditioning to be done. Think of it as Holty on the treadmill ........
