All Inclusive Boards

Following on from Yonners excellent suggestion for a Morris Dancing board surely the time is right for not606 to broaden its horizons and become all encompassing.

I fear that certain stratas of society are afraid to join us for fear of being ridiculed by the narrow and petty minded on here like ST and Toby.

This site should be for all no matter what.

Ive tried to keep quiet about this for the sake of the Morris Dancing Brotherhood ...but this is just a thread too far.

I find it laughable how all forms of morris dancing are being lumped together. Even someone with the most basic knowledge of the subject knows that different parts of the country have different morris dancing traditions and they can vary quite widely. For example, some allow women to take part whereas others don't. Some use hankies only, some use sticks only and some use a combination of the two. The uniforms are also very distinctive. When discussing morris dancing, I would urge posters to specify which branch they're referring to so that unnecessary confusion can be avoided.

 

Sorry, I just blindly believed what the morris dancing scientists told me what to think. Must practice what I preach in future. Lesson learned.
