Hughton was forced to play Hoops and Ricky, they were poor but we had 23 attempts at goal and scored Praise due to Mr Nice
I don't think they were that poor. Produced some quite nice stuff through the middle and held the ball up well between them. Probably RvW's best performance this season, shame he seems unable to even buy a goal at the minute!
Spot on. Despite not scoring, RvW was heavily involved, far more than his 7 touches on the opening day of the season!
RvW was moving really well i thought, both him and hooper were dropping of each other well and i reckon they look capable of forming a good partnership, there is still a problem with the space in behind them where really Wes or Jonny should be, regularly Fer or Johnson would get on the ball and there wouldn't be a good pass on in front of them so it had to go out wide. In a game like that we really weren't under pressure at the back we should have considered Wes for Johnson.
I'd also add, because I feel I'm being a bit too critical, that in general we had to break down a team who seem determined to take 0-0 and were putting everything into defending the point they had. It's alway hard to break down a team who are only intent on defending, as we learnt against Cardiff or at Hull away, if we had scored earlier on and they were forced to come forward I imagine we would have scored more.
In fairness that Rosenior lad and Davies got in the way of a couple of chances which I thought were going in.
