we've all seen lambert do this before. he likes to ruffle feathers and i must say from experience, it almost always works, so i wouldn't say it won't happen just yet. much depends on the player. if he has his head screwed on, and i have no reason to believe he doesn't, then he will stay with you guys
Encouraging News this morning, apart from the part about hearing nothing from Forrest about Delaney. Plus rumours that we are on the verge of signing friend from Doncaster who has rejected Middlesborough and Forrest to come to us and Davies from Derby. I'd be pleased with the Davies transfer he is exactly the kind of striker we want but I don't know too much about Friend, would we be signing him with a view to be a CB or LB, I believe he can play both which would mean we have 3 left sided CB's. If he is signed as a he's not tall for a CB as neither is Smith or Chambers, they may be good in the air and beat the majority of strikers but when it comes to the odd giant of a striker I think we would struggle!! Unless he is going to be signed with a view to give Cresswell competition.
From all the words said from cressy, its sounds as though he has his head screwed on. he has been the most vocal of the players with the media this summer saying how great the spirit is within the squad, plus he has just bought a house in the area and his girlfriend has moved down so ithink unless villa are talking stupid money i would expect cressy to stay! famous last words1
famous last words indeed guru, but the good thing in your favour here is that villa haven't got much money to throw around. they shirked at £4m for naughton (no offence, a much better player than cresswell and i wish we'd pay it - totally worth it and more) so i can't see them stumping up that kind of figure for your man
