It's crucial that we don't let the Alioski move divide the fans. We've all been truly united for the last few years. Personally I wish him well and thank him for his part in our restoration to the premier league, while wishing abject failure on his new club. He's been a fan favourite, don't let us spoil that for something that is realistically outside his consciousness.
The club could keep him by offering him a better deal. I agree with the club in that the money could be better spent so I’ve no ill feelings towards Alioski, he has to put himself and family first. I’d much prefer him joining a foreign team than a Brighton or Southampton where he could end up grabbing a goal and hurting us. I doubt whoever signs him is doing so with the intention of playing him at LB
I think he is a **** for choosing the Turkish club but I'm not falling out with anyone over it. It's not worth it. He is free to make his decision but I don't have to like it. Other fans might be fine about it and that's up to them. Nothing to do with me.
Good luck to him. Always gave his all, even when not having his best game always made himself available for a pass. Would play any position asked of him.
Agree with everyone so far. Good luck to him, wish he wasn't going there but he deserves a wage rise and if that the best deal he can get he has to take it. In a way Im glad hes going as he wasn't really good enough at LB or LW and scared me to death. He isnt a Prem player even though he has a big heart and always tried and in fairness scored some great goals, but.....
I'm a big Aloski fan, always have been, but I'm pleased he hasn't been offered a new contract. We now need better, and Alioski needs first team football. I despise Galatasaray with a passion, but I wish Alioski well.
Decent enough footballer, not top prem standard could hold his own in a bottom half side(we don't want to be one) battler, scores a few goals, looks a fun team mate. Not offered what he wanted so has to look at other options for his family which could be an extended one with relatives, and if he goes back to live in his home country upon retirement will be able to live like a king in quite a poor country. Did he have many other clubs after him? The Turks look like they are the one's who want him so his options are limited really to secure a decent pay day, bastard club and fans end of
Just for info, I have a lot of Macedonian friends, so this info is 100% accurate. Average salary in Macedonia is €200pm. Yup, per month!
Guess when your on your last big contract and not many decent offers on the table you have to choose right for your family and career. As any human being would. Yes it's not a place Leeds fans would want him to go but sometimes offers are to hard to refuse at his stage of his career. Alioski has given all for this club and will till the end of the season. sadly for him we are progressing above his ability and look like pushing on even more and he knows that deep inside. Yes we offered him a deal but I guess he wants to play Football rather than sit on a bench to earn his money, he also has an International Place to hold onto. I have nothing bad to say about the lad. wherever he goes I wish him the best, not his future team but for him personally.
