Forget robinho but wouldn't mind taking pato on loan if torres don't find his form and then it possibly leading to a deal, we've been chasing him for ages, great striker !! http://www.insidefutbol.com/2011/09/11/ac-milan-dreaming-of-fernando-torres-loan/48903/
Tell me about it mate.... i reckon torres will go now, think his pushed the limit with that interview, obviously his telling the truth our midfield is slow and old but how stupid can you get telling it to the press because it's now going to divide the dressing room and cause arguments because i'm sure lampard and malouda aint going to like being called slow and old even though they are lol, it's a pathetic act by torres and his pissed me off because the tension will be high now and the last thing we need is arguments and **** being caused in the dressing room as i'm sure malouda and lampard will be saying something to him, so now that's going to make the situation worse because they aint going to want to play in the same team as torres because there see him as a backstabber.
Exactly Lcooper, Ive just been reading about this interview. But TBH Torres hasnt fitted in since hes arrived. Its obvious he wasnt Carlos buy, but in fact was someone behind the scenes. Malouda seemed to totally blank Torres from the start when he replaced Drogs. I totally agree with Torres that our midfield are slow and from the last games I have to say im pretty pissed off with our performances, especially when you see how the mancs are playing! Ive said it for the last 3 seasons that 4-3-3 just doesnt work and our build up play is so slow! We get half way then run out of ideas OR when counter attacking we get 3/4 of the way up and then stop dead. Tomorrows game should be interesting, especially with UTD coming up straight after. I feel AVB is being too cautious and obvs feels the pressure to win games - that means scrappy 1-0, 2-1 wins which he isnt about.
The sooner AVB ships out the 'oldies on the gravy train' and starts to play regularly our young players such as McEachran & Sturridge with Torres, the better. Drogba, Lampard, Malouda, Anelka just need to accept that this team is being built for the future around Torres and Sturridge, with Mata, Romeu, McEachran, Ramires, Lukaku, Van Aarnholt, Luiz, Courtois as the new stars. Torres speaks the truth, they are all old and slow as hell, give youth a chance. Look at how Wilshere benefited by playing alongside Fabregas/Nasri, surely Josh should be afforded the same, given his amazing potential.
Yep i agree, he hasn't fitted in because we're still playing the mourinho way and i'm sure AVB will soon overtake that and get his system going which here need a season for, and i also think torres was abramovichs buy, and yep maloudas never got on with him. And yep totally right we're just so slow we should switch to 4-1-2-1-2 or 4-2-3-1 or something along them lines but i just hope it doesn't cause the friction i think it will because its the last thing we need. I'm looking forward to just getting the season out the way because malouda/anelka/kalou they all need to go and torres if he don't get firing, we need less strikers so we haven't got too many big egos that are going to be frustrated at being left out, and i really hope torres does get firing but i just can't see it at the moment and i don't think he can either hence why his basically passed the blame on to the midfield, and yep they are slow and old and aint helping him much but other players are still scoring goals and sturridge scored on saturday in his first game back so why can't torres do that? You can go on and on about the midfield but at the end of the day other people are still scoring goals for us. And yeh a 4-0 win will do us perfect, get the confidence up while man u are playing away in benfica on wednesday and then hopefully we can get at least a point, be interesting !!
Totally agree mate, he should forget Joshs age and just play him, every game his played his looked good and confident, and lampards so slow these days it's just killing us off all the time we need someone like josh, a hungry passionate young player that is ready to fire!!
Rather keep Torres. Sack off Malouda and Kalou bring in De Bruyne and see how Torres plays with those players either side of him.
Of course mate i want to keep him and fingers crossed he gets back to form but was just saying if he still can't find any form by january then maybe it will be a good deal for us, because it will be coming up to the main stages of champions league and premier league and were need goals
