Arsenal's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has revealed that he could be out of action until November.

The England international, 20, was injured during Saturday's 1-3 Premier League defeat to Aston Villa.

Manager Arsene Wenger said on Tuesday that he expected the midfielder to miss "at least" six weeks.

But the player tweeted: "Gutted I'm injured so early in the season. But I'm going to be working hard to hopefully be back playing in three months."

Looks like Wenger was telling porkies and OXO will be out of 3 months. So we've sold Gervinho and now we've lost OXO to injury. It's most likely that Wenger will dust off that wallet and buy an attacking midfielder/attacker now.

Where exactly was Wenger telling "porkies" ? He said Chamberlain would be out for at "least 6 weeks".That is different to saying he will definitely only be out for 6 weeks.
This is part of the interview he gave about Chamberlain which was reported on SkySports
"We don't think it will need surgery. He is consulting tonight, but it will be at least six weeks out."
As I said on another thread,i get the impression that at the time Wenger wasn't in possession of the full facts about Chamberlain's injury
