This is a man who does not have a negative bone, or thought, in his make up. He reminds me a lot of Lambert, but seems to be a much more aware manager. Lambert was very gung ho, and we loved it, but this guy is more pragmatic but with a total grasp of all situations. I believe that the PL is in for a surprise next season when we will be competing with the big boys again.

I've just listened to the presser on Player and he does seem very well grounded. Interesting that he said that he believes that if we do get promotion, we should go forward with the squad who got us there. That's what he did successfully at Hamilton and I agree that is the way to go. If you change too much over the summer, you're at a disadvantage when the season starts. AN is sending out a signal to the players that if they get us into the PL they'll be a part of it.

Crikey, if that doesn't motivate the players for the next 5 games, NOTHING will.

By the time we get to the pre-season friendlies, everyone should be fully fit and raring to go for whatever lies ahead!!!

and whats even better we wont have to spend a penny to have options up front with wolfy heading back this way, its a win win by all accounts

If Neil sticks to that, then surely we've got to ringfence money for improving the Carrow Road capacity, if we go up?

That's a good point DH and no question we could use another 5-10k in seats reasonably comfortably. Might be the obvious time to go for it if player spend is not a priority. That said there are a couple of positions that could use some shoring up and then we may lose Odjidja to one of the big boys following his 10 goal haul in final 5 games.

I also had the same vision HMQC, except that he stayed. :)

I perhaps overstated it a bit, as we do have some vacancies for new players to come in and players who haven't been involved like Turner, Becchio, Bunn and Garrido could leave but the emphasis was on not turning out those currently involved in the squad.

If/when we are promoted there is sure to be a certain amount of pruning, leading to the equivalent amount of recruitment. The standard of that recruitment is the key issue. In an ideal world we would require new players to be a better quality than players already here. In one or two instances this may actually happen, but what positions are involved may be key.
