Great news if true, I still can't think why other clubs a la Aston Villa, Everton etc etc aren't vying for his signature - maybe the wages?
17/01/2012 by David McIntyre QPR are discussing personal terms with Alex after reaching an agreement with Chelsea over the Brazilian defender. Paris St-Germain are among a number of other clubs to have expressed an interest in the 29-year-old since he was transfer-listed at Stamford Bridge. But new Rangers manager Mark Hughes is hoping Alex can be persuaded to remain in west London. Hughes is also looking to sign versatile defender Nedum Onoua from Manchester City next week and has lodged a bid for Blackburnâs Chris Samba. But Blackburn have today reiterated that Samba is not for sale, despite the centre-back saying he has handed in a transfer request. http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-open-talks-with-defender-alex/?
He wants to stay in London, his kids go to a local school, moving them to Liverpool or Birmingham isnt what he wants to do. Also he handed in a transfer request along with Anelka days after the Terry incident and I think that is the reason why he wants to leave and what better way to stick it to the staff there than joining the local rivals. Saying that I cant believe another London club hasnt come in for him, I think hes better than both of the scums current CBs
This is a smart move by Chelsea as if we are at loggerheads in regards to the fee for the transfer if Alex agrees to what we are offering then it would be more likely we give them the fee they want as if to say you want him, he wants to come you, so pay the fee and if you dont what will the others say...
Also do Chelsea want to sell to spurs or Arsenal really ? They are in a battle for a CL spot and really can't afford to finish out of the top 4. Hope this happens today .

New QPR boss Mark Hughes has made defensive reinforcements one of his main priorities and he has targeted moves for Alex and Blackburn's Chris Samba. QPR have seen two bids rejected for Samba with Blackburn insisting the giant defender is not for sale, but they could have better luck with Alex after Chelsea granted them permission to talk to the Brazilian. The centre-back asked for a transfer at the end of last year and has been out of the first-team picture under Andre Villas Boas since. Alex does not feature in the plans of Villas-Boas and the signing of Gary Cahill from Bolton has cleared the way for the defender to move on Hughes will now be hoping to convince Alex to snub other offers to make the move to Loftus Road. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7439178/?
So far so good. Doubt if it'll be Alex AND Samba though - one or the other plus Onuoha for the moment. That plus a decent CM (though no one mentioned to date) and a goal hungry striker.

Alex should be playing for a team like Juve or Inter. QPR!? Insane really. I agree with you mate! He is a top level defender with unbelievable free kick and shooting skills. I think he still deserves to play in Chelsea. He can be our third choice as center back and can move to Luiz to right as a right back. So we can get rid of bosignwa and can have a really solid defense. Luiz-Cahill-Terry-Cole with ivanovic, alex and bertrand. The best defense in the league! Seems like scum-fans appreaciate Alex very much. Any new about negociation between club and him?
