Hi guys, I'm not really very up to date on the injury news so I was just wondering if anybody knows how long Chambo will be out for? I think I read somewhere that it would be for the whole season, but is this really true? Also, what happened to Dale Stephens, I hear he went off last night? And what about Harding, why was he not even on the bench?
chambo out for atleast 1-2 more weeks stephens got kicked in the achilies and left on a stretcher, no time span given, hopefully not long harding had groin strain
My understand is that he will not be in light training until later this week early next which in my book would suggest minimum 3 weeks......But hey what do I know........
My understanding a tight groin strain.......the other he should be back Saturday week if all is not as bad as they feared or maybe during that week forever an optimist me........
Strange world isn't it. I realised after last night's match that I had completely forgotten Alex. What a team we have when everyone's fit. Sounds like Lallana was just a tightening but still may not be risked for Saturday. Better to have him for most of run in than to risk him for one game. Hope Stephens isn't out too long as he looks promising.
Dunno where you heard that Hoadie. Adkins said they had put him in a protective boot (as they do with all feet/ankle injuries) and shut him down before they re-assess him in 2 weeks. That was on the 24th of March. I think he'll be assessed somewhen around this weekend. If it's not too bad he should be back on the bench in 2 weeks. I heard it was a twisted ankle so the long rest he's been given should help.
I hope this isn't true. I don't think he is our best player, but i think he provides that vital bit extra that people like Chappers and Guly aren't doing at the moment. I think we have decent replacements, but the sooner Chambo's back, the better really
Have you seen that you have signed Jack Stephens from Plymouth wonder what will happen with Dale. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Stephens_%28footballer%29
When we kept Alex during the transfer window, I thought great we have him for this promotion season. Good for him because he'll get games and good for us because we need him. All the time, a little voice said,'Bet he gets injured.' Murphy's Law.
To be honest, as much as he is a fantastic player with a brilliant career ahead of him, i think he will be allowed to go for the right price. And to be honest, i trust Adkins to bring in a decent player or two as a replacement for the lad. As long as we keep Lallana for a bit, i'm happy
Signed him yesterday. Promising youngster, but he can't play for us in the 1st team because it's outside the transfer window. Not that I think he'd get in at the moment. Good business as we got him without a sell on clause.
I think we all accept that he will go. It's like a dripping tap wearing you down. At first, you're desperate to keep him. Then as the media starts it's poison, you become reconciled to it. Hope we get a good price with most given to NA for team building. I hope we see him again this season. It would be a shame to have his Saints career fizzle out.
Well maybe whoever signs him will loan him back to us for a bit next season? Optimistic maybe, but if it's a premiership team, i can't see him getting much first team footie at this stage
