Hi everyone, First post so go easy on me! Seems like pre-season is going well but noticed we had Alex Bruce playing! Is this just a trial?? hope we don't sign him as he was rubbish at Leeds!
He's played both friendlies and looked capable enough to be given a chance. Bruce snr has basically said he's training with us and keeping up his fitness, he has a few other offers and we will make a decision in a week to 10 days. He's certainly not rubbish, he's played 250 odd games at this level and at one point was an outstanding performer for Leeds
You do realise as a female board member there is an initiation requirement that you post a picture of yourself in swimwear, preferably a thong bikini? It's not something we enjoy for it's own sake, as such, it's to prepare you for miffs daily posts. Oh, and welcome by the way!
where is this number of "250 games at this level" coming from? He has played 175 league games + 13 as a sub. A fair few of these were League 1.

Yeah, I really wish someone would put Steve right about that at one of these pre-season games. Apparently the wikipedia article on Alex did state 250, but it's completely wrong.
I hope we don't sign him as it would be another excuse for Burns to make appaling gags about nepotism ' anybody else thinking nepotism is a Greek midfielder, HEHEHEHEHE!' Maybe if he didn't cost us much it would be worth having him as backup if we manage to shift Mcshane, hate to say it though but think the Ginger Ninja is a better player
He's not had to make a tackle or make a header in his own penalty box. He'll have to be judged on training sessions because he's played in pipe and slippers this week.
He did what he needed to do last night, I thought he did well. I don't mind him as a player either I think he would be good backup for our starting two.
But if you do what Strov asks it will prove 1 the total non sexist nature of this board 2 give us all a laugh
