@John__Percy: #lcfc are considering a January bid for Blackpool defender Alex Baptiste Not sure about him. I would prefer someone younger as Morgan, Whitbread and St. Ledger are all experienced pros
Would be good. He can play that midfield role a bit too. Wouldn't cost the earth and he'll give the squad the freedom to rotate.
Not sure? - he was brilliant whenever we played Blackpool and is the sort of player that we should be after. SSL is long term injured, Whitbread is rather cack plus injury prone, Moore (there is your promising youngster) isn't quite ready a a CB so we would need a new senior CB. A pairing of him and Morgan will be immense!
This is what i said we should be doing. Going after players whose contracts run out in the summer You get some proper bargains doing that
This will explain our interest in Baptiste @RobTannerMerc: Press day. NP says Waghorn back in training and SSL in Munich to see specialist about his hamstring. Full story in tomorrow's Mercury.
Not sure i rate him that highly. Though neither did i rate Morgan that highly... one thing NP does better than anything is teach people how to defend so any CB he brings in im content with.
I'd take him- best Blackpool player when they came here earlier in the season. Seems a little similar to Morgan though, although of course that's no bad thing
I would take him in a flash! Can fill in at midfield if needed, I thought he stood out at the KP this year.
I don't think you can give Pearson the credit for Morgan, he was always great for Forest too. He might have brought him along a bit, but he's always been a good player. Surprised you didn't rate him Ed.
I always thought he was a bit hit and miss at Forest, but then again Forest fans claiming someone's good would always mean I'd look for their flaws. He's in the form of his life at Leicester though, maybe a move away from his home team has taken some of the pressure off.
yeah, im normally pretty good at spotting a good CB too. I used to think he was big but technically a bit lacking. I think he has been taught that now - he is now a far better player than he was when he joined.
Dont get the interest here, yes Baptiste would be a good signing, but we have the best defensive record in the league, its the other end of the pitch that needs focus. Whats the point in plugging up holes if the water isn't running.
Living in Nottingham I've seen Forest more times than a Leicester fan should admit to and he's always been pretty solid. The Forest fans did start to claim he'd gone off the boil after he'd decided not to renew his contract but, as we can attest to, that simply wasn't true.
