"Aleksandar Kolarov admits that he could leave Manchester City in search of regular first-team football after attracting interest from Juventus.

Kolarov is keen to play regularly and has been linked with a number of clubs around Europe.

Speaking to the Serbian Sports Arena, Kolarov said: "I am constantly in contact with the club (City), and we will soon see what will happen.

"I'm happy in Manchester, but I want to play regularly.

"Money is not everything, I would be available to cut my salary. Simply, I want to be in the regular eleven."

Kolarov is expected to report for pre-season training at Manchester City next week."

So, hes a left back, hes 27. Apparently earning approximately £95k a week.

Hes willing to take a pay cut, say to £60k a week. Within our pay bracket possibly.

Question is, would you have him.

I would personally love to see him at our club, at a cost of say £8 million and wages of £60k a week it would be a great signing.

    What you think?

If he is to leave and Juve are interested, I'm sure he'd choose you over that tinpot out fit from northern Italy.

    Fair point.

Also, LB is not one of our problem areas. Santon, while he had an off and on season, is an Italian international. He may well be much better having settled in for a season, as Colocinni was. Haidara looks very, very good to me. MBW can also play there, as can Ferguson.

This window we have more pressing needs.

He's a quality player, but not a chance we could sign him

Very true, personally would rather go get 2 strikers at the moment and hold fire on the defensive side of things till Jan than getting in 1 striker and a defender this window.

Yeah well know-it-all, perhaps he's settled in England with his family and a short drive from Manchester is preferable to up-rooting to Italy. <ok>

Besides, we play in very similar colours to Juve... <whistle>

Take him? Hell yes! Quality footballer. Be lovely to have a dead ball expert aswell. I think we could do with an experienced full back too as I think the time has come to move Santon into the wide areas. Plus he has never truly convinced he is comfortable playing on the left side in defensive areas.

Realistic? No chance. We wouldn't pay the wages and if the likes of Juve are interested, its game over. He deserves to play CL.

Was he not settled in Italy before the mega-rich MAn City moved in for him?
