I had an interesting conversation with the better half the other night. She, like me is an avent supporter of Scottish independence. Unlike me, this has turned her into a political extremist of the worst kind. The type you find on the political thread in here on a daily basis In other words, she has not got a fùcking clue but that doesn't stop her mouthing off at every opportunity. She has even joined the SNP. Silly cùnt. Anyhoo, our conversation started with her decrying the state of the UK after a more than likely No Deal Brexit. "It will be a disaster" she exclaimed "the country will sink into the sea, the sky will fall in, Tories will run amock in the streets, eating babies and shìting in peoples kettles" Pretty similar thinking to some in here I think you can agree. "No it wont" says I. Now usually I would just let her spout her pish whilst Ignoring much what she says and nodding agreement occasionally to signify that I'm listening. Not this time though. With a steely resolve and with the benefit of quite a few "Dutch courages" having been consumed earlier in the evening I decided now was the time to try and educate this psychotic harpy. And thus a battle of wills did ensue as I tried to install some common sense into a vessel not designed for such produce. So here's my thoughts on the matter. No deal Brexit will not be the absolute disaster that's being touted by the liberal media in this country. Not to mention some of the pretentious pricks on the board. It certainly wouldn't be the disaster Teresa May's deal would be. Sure there will be an initial hit but that was always going to be the case, deal or no deal. Working WTO rules will be a whole lot less expensive than payments we make to the EU annually. I have seen it written as up to 7 billion a year cheaper. But the world will keep turning and the country will get by. I also pointed out to her that the UK leaving the EU is no different from Scotland leaving the UK and the implications there in. Alas that was too much of a leap for her and her brain had to shut down. So, I for one will miss our membership of the EU. Especially the free movement of people which i think is an excellent idea. Probably the best thing that the EU ever did. And probably the thing that will see us crash out come October but hey, cest la vie. Life is a minestrone my friends.
If only mate. After the last Mrs Aldo I was in the dock. Luckily they never found the body. Not proven is a wonderful Scottish legal quirk
See......you do make sense sometimes I will miss the freedom of movement too, although most people think I should be locked up anyway, so at least some will see the benefits, even if I don't.
Nah I'm good I don't drink much anyways. Why don't you take this Scottish independence thing seriously and **** off back to GC
