Love lidl in France. Cracking red wines for €1.50. Getting blootered on €5 is just the way it ought to always be
Not sure if I've been to Lidl over here, but I can confirm that you can get a decent bottle of wine for a couple of euros in just about any supermarket.
I agree Lidl sell some decent wine cheaply, and beers. We tend to buy the same things from them all the time e.g. sirlion steaks, (usually very good) cheese, bog roll, kitchen roll, tinfoil, all good quality. Some of the freezer stuff is alright as well.
My former neighbour who is German tells me it is pronounced Leedle. Anyone, it's good for cheap milk, bread and the fruit and veg is far better and cheaper than Morrison's or Asda. German ****s.
Nah, not at all. I won't lie, I often feel like I need a shower when I come out of there but the three bird roast is worth it. Try one next Christmas, trust me.
In Germany, I've been told, they are mid-upper range supermarkets, definitely not the after the library where else can we scab a few hours indoors just looking at things places they are in British isles. In Spain, the bottled beer is a fraction of what they charge in UK; yes duty plays a part, but they make a tidy profit wherever they are.
Aldi's is ok for fruit and veg. Not bought wine from Lidl's for a long time. Their freshly baked stuff is nice. They do cheese rolls things - diamond shaped. Really nice. Sainsburys is my fave supermarket. Hate ASDA with a passion.
Oi Tina, why are you trawling my posting history and disliking posts from months ago? Ya sad, auld boot!
