Obviously going on holiday with Joe Kinnear! Seriously I have spent a couple of holidays there. Recommend the old town over the strip which is crap. Gets very busy at night in a couple of the streets off the main square but there are other slightly quieter areas. There is a great free map (in English) available in lots of places which shows you how to get around and some info on local bars.
I didn't mind the strip when i went last year. Old Town was quaity though. Super Bock & Sagres are nice. The Dutch lasses were even better.
See if you can find a cheap car hire place. The cheapest convertible I can find is a grand for ten days.
Looked at it but can have almost 2 weeks in Greece cheaper. Not worth it just for a training match. Will see what happens with this germany match rumour of phil buckinghams.
There you go http://www.economycarrentals.co.uk/...0&k=5&l=3&m=842&n=4&o=0&p=08&q=0&r=16&s=0&t=0 a VW Beetle 640 Euros
can Confirm Old town is way better than the strip , but if you like that sort of thing its there for you theres some real nice eating places in the old town too The erm Brits down the strip are pretty much embarrassing though
Not bad, thanks, an Astra convertible for £589.00 or a Megane convertible for £662. Just to get round of the problem of the missus moaning about there not being enough boot space in a convertible now...
Try Zit Auto, I have a place out there. It's by far the cheapest car rental place in the area, they don't advertise, so a hidden gem
I go to Portugal twice a year and I use them all the time, it's usually a local hire company who you get the car from and i've yet to find cheaper.
I'm there for a week just crossing over with the city visit, ill miss the eagles game though. Anyone know where the team are staying and training?
Interesting article in todays SUN.Brits arrested on the strip for playing bingo for biscuits. Aainst local gambling laws.
I guarantee those neanderthals would be the first to complain about some foreigner not respecting our laws too. Those places make me ashamed to be English.
