With everything going on at the club my thoughts recently have been about a club stalwart who,as far as I am aware has not had a testimonial?
TATE gave everything to the club and unlike some, has not chased money or bad mouthed the club.
    Thoughts and ideas please.

It's down to the player to arrange not the Club so the balls in his court , I do hope there's some formal occasion to mark his long association with the Club .

I think nowadays Testimonials for PL players are a thing of the past with the good money they have earned over their career and I Know Tatey didn't play that long at the top but that is unfortunate, I think most Testimonials that are held are now normally for a charity.

Nice to see a Tatey11 v Trundle 11, players who they have played with, Maybe they could walk out both holding the famous flag.

Agree with all you said except there was no money for Tate to chase. Played a big part in getting us to the top level he didn't belong in and I will be massively grateful for his part getting us there .Deserves his recognition that the club walked over imo .

I speak to Tatey regularly but never mentioned his cancelled testimonial but I will ask him next week and hopefully get to the bottom of it. By the way he's a smashing fella, still talks fondly of the club.

I seem to remember a pre season testimonial had been arranged against Man.Utd.,but then the computer threw up the opening match of the new season - against Man.Utd. As a consequence, the testimonial was cancelled. So,Tate missed out on a pay day. It all went quiet and then he left.

There are 3 players who were entitled to a testimonials Monk,Tate and Leon but it is so difficult to find the time to play these games today and what clubs mostly do now is give the players a financial reward and thats what i think we have done tbh.
