I feel for the guy, that really sucks. Does that bump Jazz Richards up the pecking order? It also means we desperately need someone in for cover at the back.
That's bad news for us. Looks like we will have to get some CB cover in now in the next couple of days.
Well we must get cover in now and pronto , feel for tatey on this reckon he could be out until the new year on that, we should have been looking for cover in any case.
Feel sorry for him but lets be honest could be a blessing in disguise, Jazz is a far better prospect for the full back birth ,tate will give everything of course but he has the same amount of pace WITH a broken leg as he does without one centre half? well i think brenden is already on the case for one of those . Jazz has good pace and is strong ,he also has good skills .Could well be a really good player at this level as he has all the attributes needed.
Jager, I knew that it was a tongue-in-cheek comment, but still in poor taste recognising what Tatey has done for our club.
It was toungue in cheek but i couldnt care less if somebody gets offended by the remark either. Ive known plenty of people that have broken theri leg playing football in local league and struggle to make ends meet for months after ,guys who work in contracting and get **** all when on the sick , so please spare the over the top reaction taff , tate isnt going to lose his house while he recovers from injury. Alan tate is a true servent to the swans but you have to agree he is punching above his weight in the prem league. if you think he isnt then you really need your head testing. He will come back and get the odd game but id be alot more worried if it was ash williams, rangel, taylor, vorm ,leon, kemy, graham, allen, caulker, sinclair, dyer or routledge that was injured . I beleive tate is a legend but i also beleive he is a bit part player at best this season
Totally agree about Jazz. Always liked the lad & slotted-in quite easily last season, when Taylor was out I think??!! Of course we're up quite a level now in the Premier. Just feel whatever you throw at him he seems to come back with the results, so to speak. Watched him against Utd reserves & the boy's confident & composed. Good prospect for us. Shame about Tatey, get back on the mend soon Alan.... We did need cover anyway, Brendan was probably on the case. See what he can get in.....
Norway, I don't believe anyone has made any reference to Tatey being an integral member of the first team. Anyway, it's up to Brendan to make sure we have adequate cover
I've always like Jazz Richards. He played brilliantly v Scumdiff in our loss to them last season. The Bellamy goal was scored from Rangel's side. He is more than adequate cover for Taylor and it's time for him to step up. Monk is ready to come back from injury and is back up to the centre backs. No need to panic.
Yeah i think Jazz has what it takes . He has always impressed me when ive seen him play ,sometimes being young makes you play with no fear as well ,so it could be good for us to have him there instead of tate. At least he wont be back tracking into his own area and inviting the worlds best to try their luck from 15 yards , jazz could back his pace and be prepared to make a challenge. Tate has a future with the swans of course and he will be needed so lets hope he gets better soon.
Like everybody i'm devastated for Tatey, but in the same breath i'm happy for Jazz. You're right about Jazz stepping in for Taylor, did a great job and even kept JET quiet which is a good demonstration of his physical ability. If Jazz hadn't damaged his LCL in pre-season I genuinely believe he would have been in a lot closer contention than he is. LB isn't his preferred position but i'd imagine he'll be more than happy playing there on occasion in the Prem.
taff- sorry if you thought that comment was directed at you, it wasnt . i am just making the point that there are strong options in our squad and the world doesnt end with alan tates broken leg
Jesus I bet the ******s up the road will love this news, expected better comments from some of our own all the same .Speedy recovery Tatey
Gutted for poor Tatey, a freak accident ruins his dream of playing in the prem this season, going take months for him to recover having broken his fibia. Going to need a defender or two urgently before the window closes on wednesday night.
