Why do we not put him in a more attack midfielder position? I feel he's wasted as a defensive midfielder, I mean it's unlikely we're getting rid of him so me may well us him for something! He was a striker, attacking midfielder now we have turned him into a defensive midfielder, he needs a switch.

    Just food for thought. <ok>

I get the feeling he's played his last game in the black and white stripes to be honest.

If he agreed to cut his pay to about £20k per week I'd be happy to keep him as a squad player. Not very likely tho.

This. 20k - 25k per week, he'll be a decent squad player but at the reported 50k/60k he is on currently, we simply can't afford to have him on the bench, even then there's no real telling if he'll actually be on the bench next season <yikes> with young Gosling waiting in the wings, Richardson, Donaldson/Inman/Guthrie, etc.

He's not PL standard anymore but I'll have him as cover. <ok>

On this topic.. well IMO he doesn't have the legs anymore to play upfront but it'll be worth a try(atleast in one game).. surely he can't be any worse than Ameobi?

I like smudge. I think we should keep ahad. To be honest he's not going to get 25k+ anywhere else so offer him a contract around that mark i say. Would love to see him score for us!

Get rid if possible. Hopefully Leeds or Rangers or someone will make an offer in the summer.
