I hope this is not true but with Jewell's liking for washed up has beens you better believe it! http://www.twtd.co.uk/news.php?storyid=19859&title=newcastles_smith_linked JEWELL OUT!!
Does anybody else have the feeling that PJ is having an affair with the physio's missus? what with Bullard and Smith he won't be home a lot!
Do you have to get so annoyed over paper talk. There are 20 similar rumours every week and somebody always seems to get upset by something with probably little or no truth. Although he isnt the type of player I would like in terms of age, potential and resale value, he does, or at least did last time I saw him have two qualities that we desperately need. He can head a ball and he has a bit of bite about him. We have no idea about how much cash we have and what targets are out there so I will read little into it but for arguments sake, if we got an actual RB and another CB and then had Smith on loan to replace the captain then I could see some positives to what is initially not a very welcoming story
Not interested in the slightest. Why is it we insist on buying players who can't even get in their own team. Let's just put Hyam or Kennedy in for the holding role ffs.
San Diego, Kennedy is getting to the end but I agree 100% about Hyam. I think he has the potential to be up their with the best of our young players over the last few years but I think it is fairly obvious that he is not in the managers thoughts for some unknown reason. No matter how much I try to keep myself calm and think rationally about the current situation that is the one that I can never come up with a logical explanation for.
Yeah, but Kennedy hasn't let us down when he's played, unlike many who play in the middle of the park at the moment. Even having him at left back with the energy of Cresswell in front of him is worth a go, don't you think?
The one person I wouldnt drop or move from the current team is Cresswell. He is good going forward but I wouldnt say his crossing ability outweighs his defensive display. I understand why the point is made but for me it is a no. To be fair to Kennedy you are right that he doesnt let us down and I would like a calm, rational figure like him at RB but unless he replaces the captain then I can see better options in the centre of midfield. He can do a job there and may add some composure but with the stupidity of the rest of our team at present I think we need a bit more bite and energy.
Replacing the captain sounds perfect. He can pick a forward pass, or any pass for the matter, much better than Captain Hopeless.
And so he crawls out of the woodwork to enlighten us again with his insightful comments. Welcome back mrivorhugepsychologicalproblem
I try to JWM but it's like when someone has an unsightly wart with a hair growing out of it on the side of their face and while you are talking to them you don't want to but can't help yourself staring at it in disgust.
I've only ever seen your missus in the dark JWM. My fingers, after much exploring, have never found anything of the sort. I did run into a deep, dank cave once though, know anything about that?
how much money do you think Jewell will be given to spend this january? i could understand evans not giving any blank cheques out to the manager as it hasn't exactly worked in the years he has been at the helm. its obvious we need quite a few players in and if he doesnt have much to spend then loans and freebies such as smith look like the order of the day again. thats where my problem with the club is.... this long term plan which has been talked about ever since jewell took over looks absolutely non-existant. if we had a good crop of young players and we were down in this position then at least i could take heart that there was a long term plan in place and a rosy future wasn't a far away dream. next summer a big turnaround is surely going to be needed. kennedy, bowyer, ingimarsson are very much on their way out of the game and we have a long list of players whose contracts are up, added to the players who clearly are not good enough to turn our fortunes around. theres no direction and no clear plan but the club will somehow have us believe that there is. to be honest it beggars belief.
Exactly PP that is the big problem we face! It feels like we have been lied to yet again with all these announcements of 5 year plans and we are all making progress bollocks! We may be simple Suffolk folk but they can't keep making mugs of us all. The only way to show our displeasure is by simply not going to any more home games until the 2 clowns are sacked! I haven't been to a home game since Derby and I have no intention of setting foot back in Portman Road until we see some decisive action taken. A group of 10 of us who are regular season ticket holders are all doing the same thing. MONEY is all Clegg seems to understand and when he sees that attendances start falling below 12,000 then action will be taken. I mean £36 to watch that garbage yesterday!
If you are lost on how to get to the forbidden cave I will give you some directions. Starting at the top you need to carefully negotiate the tangled grasslands that lead down towards the infamous Pit of Teeth. Be careful here, you can easily lose a digit. After climbing down and back up the other side of Neck Valley you will reach the Twin Peaks. At the top is a perfect place to rest for a while and enjoy the view across the Navel Plains. When you are done relaxing (this could take a while) you will descend slowly onto the plains and wander aimlessly across the smooth sand. After passing a small watering hole you will come to the dreaded Jungle of Fear. You may need a machete to conquer this wild area but when you eventually break through the undergrowth you will be rewarded by the sight of a warm welcoming cave that just screams "come on in and stay a while" I hope this helps.
Whatever they are putting in the Tap water in San Diego can you be sure to send me over a couple of bucket fulls!
