Came across this article on AP the other day http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-Pardew-Newcastle-manager-explodes-myths.html good article. I think it would be fair to say that AP was not the most gifted footballer England has ever produced and he started as a glazier, my thoughts are having held a job outside football gives him insights into managing that perhaps some of the games superstars who have not really been outside of football since a teenager might not have. In light of this I think most of the best managers over the past few years werent exactly great footballers, such as Ferguson, Wenger and Mourinho.
It's a very good point. The people that would be best at managing a football team in the world will never become football managers because they haven't played it professionally. Just because you are brilliant at football, it doesn't mean you are a good manager.
I love how the greatest managers these days are gifted with the best players in the world. I believe the best managers go unnoticed.
Just noticed that irrespective of being on his day off or in the thick of the action; Alain De Pardeaux still wears the same belt.
Alain Pardeaux is doing great Vive la Toon in the first 2 photos of him is he hoping for a 2nd job as a male model
He was reckoned to be a top player, but got a serious injury at about 16, and couldn't play again (that's what my Chelsea supporting mate told me anyway)
