This is by no means a dig at the man, I think he's doing a good job!

When he came here he said he would give the youngsters a chance, however so far it appears as though he is very reluctant to try them out. He admitted that he felt Ferguson wasn't ready, but he clearly was and is ready and deserves more game time.

Richardson has been on the bench, but never been brought on. Sunday was his best chance of ever coming on and getting an opportunity this year. And I don't understand why either he or Ferguson was not brought on against Villa. They would have added something different and maybe could have created opportunities to score.

Also why was Airey not on the bench, I think he could have made a difference in the last 15 mins given a chance. I really hope we start playing some of these for 10 minutes here or there, just to see what they can do, what do you think?

I'd like to see Airey given a chance towards the end of games however only if we're comfortable, we're not safe yet.

My argument is that we never looked like scoring in the Villa game and I think bringing one of these lads on, who would be desperate to impress, may have sparked us into life! The players out there were doing **** all, so what was the point in not changing things.

You have to groom (not in that way you know what i ment) young players perfectly if you want them to become star.
I trust that Pardew will introduce both of those two when the moment is right. Look at how well he's done with Ferguson and Best (although admitadly Best is 24 and can't really be classed as a youth player)

I agree. Also Jonas was good in the first half, but he seemed to tire in the second half and when Cuellar was brought on at RB we could have had Ferguson running at him and maybe creating something and putting in some decent balls. He has shown that he is capable so lets give him a chance!

Vuckic HAS to be injured! Surely?! I mean he's gone from being our future to being behind someone that was a plumber whilst he was making his debut

I'm really disappointed that Vuckic hasn't started to break through but I suppose we're well stocked in midfield. Ferguson has been a revelation though, got high hopes for him in the next couple of years.

Definitely in a game like Villa, at least he would have tried. I'd like to think we can beat Blackpool and Liverpool/Manchester United so we can start to play some youngsters!

I only want them to get 10 minutes here or there to see what they can do. I don't want us to make them the centre of everything we do. If they don't get chances now with all the injuries we have, when will they get chances?

The strange thing is Vuckic went to the tournament in Italy expecting to be available for the knock-out stages. If we progressed then that would have been well over a month a go. What annoys me is that nobody at the club has said anything about him!

Oh yeh of course. What i ment was that.... well take ferguson against West Ham. It was the perfect chance for him as he was under little pressure because we were already winning comfortably and West Ham were clearly broken so he wouldn't hav a particuly tough game.

Although it is a point that he only came on because Jose was injured so that kinda makes my point about Pardew abit crap

    Very high hopes for Fergie
and if all this nonesense about Jose is true I'd play Fergie in every game to get him ready for next season
