This may have already been done, and if it has I apologise in advance.

Now we're mid way through Febuary, what is everyones opinion of Pardew?

I for one cannot complain with the job that he's done.

He seems to have kept the team morale high. Which alot of us would agree, is absolutely crucial to our performances on the pitch. He's also appeared to have taken an honest, and genuine approach to mananging the team. Which is in stark contrast to our board's approach, and has in fact suprised me a little. At first I thought we had another Souness case on our hands, but at this time it looks as if Mr Pardew is going to keep NUFC afloat.

    HTW!

    likewise cant complain
he seems a decent bloke aswell
we will definatly stay up but hopefully we can push for top table 8-10th and i would be highly satisfied.
my full judgement on Pardew and his ability will not come until the summer and then next season

Yarp, lets just hope he can keep Jose etc, and buy some decent players....and then we can push above & beyond.

Steady job so far, done well out of a tough run, now with the easier fixtures is the true test of the guy, though he has played a part in getting us in a good position.

I think he's far too laid back personally and needs to introduce corporal punishment as a deterrent to bad performances and behaviour.

Sure; the shouting salvaged a draw against Arsenal but just imagine what whipping with a cat 'o' nine tails would have achieved?

We'd be in the top 4; mark my words!

Apart from his general lily livered fear of inflicting pain to aid improvement; he's done OK.

Decent manager, I'll reserve judgement until I've seen what he does with that £35m. Hughton picked up some real bargains in Tiote and Ben Arfa, I think he could have done a lot with that cash, Pards had better not waste it on crap.

In fairness mate, recent events have said that it wasn't Chrissy that found these, it was our scout Graham Carr. He is still here, so i am hopeful that we will still find some gems!

Correctamundo. It was the scouts who found Tiote and Ben Arfa. All Hughton had to do was say 'yes'. I'm sure Pardew is equally capable of allowing the signing of quality players at low costs if they're put in front of him. Let's hope so, anyway. Some managers can be frustratingly blind at times.

Looked pretty good so far by all accounts, I take back the things I said after Hughton was sacked, a knee jerk reaction - although his sacking will never be justified.

On the signings thing, was a scout really required to notice Hatem Ben Arfa is a good player, what next "this Messi lad looks quality boss" ?

I think we are more consistant, under Chris we beat Arsenal and lost to Blackpool - I can't see that happening under Pardew
