Ive posted before that Marcus' daughter is not entirely enamoured by nicolina and how he positioned himself so closely to Marcus wealth ,culminating in the amount of references to himself in the eulogy. I wouldnt assume that the family are as keen as the great man was....who could be in such a short space of time,after all it was nc's idea to get Marcus to buy, as opposed to a family decision,and contrary to some opinion on here, I am very happy that he did ,only a fool wouldnt be! My only objections are to the way nicolina has behaved, to other clubs,to us,to staff at the ground, to staff at the tg,to the national press.the interview in the Times said alot to me last year. I know we can say that it is early in his tenure but that doesnt mean I have to like this behaviour. I cannot remember which game it was ,but I know for a fact that Pardew was told to play him in one of the final games at SMS last season I know how disliked he is by virtually all the clubs he has dealt with and he has meddled in transfers and loans,If it was his money then fine,the game is full of "enlightened despots "who own clubs and do that, but it wasnt, isnt and never will be his money,hence the stalling on finance now. Certainly interesting if it's actually true. The only thing I can think of similar is that David Nugent used to be fairly active on a Preston forum - and if not him, then somebody very close to him.
One thing that has come to light is whoever this fella is, he called Cortese "Nicolina", same nickname Puncheon used for him... just weird.
I know Lowe had people on one forum. A mate was a mod and traced ip addresses back to one of his companies. It does make sense, clubs use social media in the open, why not a forum to push an agenda.
I like the idea that they didn't think 'Nicola' was a girly enough name already so they altered it slightly.
Cannot really see Nicola wanting to get on the pitch, can you? He liked pieces in the press praising him, but he never put himself in a prominent position at matches...never tried to milk the crowd. He almost seemed withdrawn during games. Can believe Katharina may not have liked the way he portrayed himself as virtually family...I thought he knew ML from way back, but I read recently that he was introduced to Markus when he was looking for a sponsor. However, she didn't boot him out quickly so she may have been reasonably happy with him or she is a loyal person who recognised his contribution.
If true it makes me think that Pardew is even more of a self-serving, immature, egotistical tosser than I think already. Which is a lot.
