    That's ridiculous.

    He's a very good manager but I'd have said the same about Owen Coyle a couple of years ago and look how things have changed there in 2 years. They could end up wanting to sack him but having to pay off the last 6 years of his deal.

    Or even the last 7 and a half years of it. Surely there's some sort of break clause every 2 or 3 years.

    There's probably a few clauses in there - for both parties.

    If Man Utd come calling.

    If they finish in the bottom half.

    It probably helps that he's mates with Ashley and was before he brought him there. He's done a great job for them, with a lot of help from Alan Carr's Dad, but in today's football climate 8 years is a bit ludicrous.

    I ****ing hate Pardew, his Charlton team at the KC were one of the poorest excuses for a football team I've had the misfortune to watch.
