Sad news, former world middleweight champion Alan Minter has died aged 69 after suffering from cancer. RIP Boom Boom, some memorable fights.

I was a golf professional at a club in London. Minter came for a game and during it he lost his lucky stone. He said he had it in his hand in his glove when he won the world title. He went crazy, searched the course for hours but couldn't find it. He was fuming!
    That's my memory of him.
Pissed up and screaming at the greenkeepers.

P.S. I was smoking reefer with the rasta dudes in the corner while watching him go mental.
    Quite funny

Two of Minter's fights stand out, the Caesar's Palace win over Vito Antoufermo (Mickey Duff looking over the judge's shoulder at the result) and the defeat by Marvin Hagler a year later (and the riot that followed).
