Saddened to read of the passing of Portsmouth and Republic of Ireland great Alan McLoughlin. I think he was a stalwart player for our neighbours. He had a short tenure under Chris Nicholls at Saints but I don't think he really fulfilled his potential for us. The move to Portsmouth saw his career blossom and allowed Saints fans to appreciated what they had missed. RIP
