Surely if any player deserves to be remembered by the club, it should be Alan McDonald.

Especially as the club got rid of him just shy of his 20th anniversary with the club. He was for so many years a rock in our defense, he took on the best and left them in shreds, but he was never a dirty player. A true professional and gentleman.

I know the club are busy with so much to sort for the upcoming season, but surely the club have to organize a testimonial for one of our greatest, and beloved players of all time?

I'd second that......against his favourite Irish side perhaps?

Might get a pre-season game against Glentoran or Crusaders or a selection from both as a Testimonial...

Can anyone with the technology tweet our glorious leader?

He does listen to the voice of the fans and is ultimately the man that has to say yes.

Unfortunately I am only 19 and never got to see him play but have heard a lot about him and would love to see a match in his honour!

This is a great idea. Let's hope there's time to organise something as part of the pre-season programme. Apropos of which, other than the three games in Asia, when is the club going to announce the rest of the pre-season friendlies?

The only game we could have at LR is QPR v NI but even NI arent a big draw.
I think wed be better off going to play Glentoran, at least it would be a sell out.

Its probably already too late to do anything this summer though.
