I was thinking more along the lines of carving the Christmas turkey, and I take an awfully long time doing it and I butcher the thing.

He already said that in the article.

I personally hope he spends it on whatever he needs to help him get over his trauma.

It said that the woman who got £1500 donated to her via someone else would donate to charity.. didn't mention anything about him donating any of the 300k to charity, unless I missed it?

It's great people have got together and I hope it makes a big difference for him but does he really need 300k? I just hope he doesn't end up passing it off to family members etc

New home, furniture, appliances, custom made kitchen at height that actually works for him [should he want that], other bills to pay etc. he can now look forward to a retirement free of money worries - he could have 20 + years yet in which to cope and actually I couldn't care less if he does pass money off to his family in gratitude for taking him in, it's his to do with what he wants! .
