Just read that Gareth Ainsworth has been given the managers job until the end of the season.I would have waited until January and see how things are going before making a decision. Is this the only option the club can afford or have other things happened that we don't know about? best of luck Ainsworth and here's hoping for some stability at last!

lets hope are fans dont turn on ainsworth if results dont come straight away. because the last two seasons beavon, bull and ainsowrth have been brilliant for us. we just need to stay in the league and start to wipe the debt. we got some good youngsters and decent attackers. ainsworth needs to find the balance in defense! come on you chairboys<ok>

good luck to gazza for the rest of the season ,i think he is gonna need it.now is the time for the players to stand up and be counted and prove that they are worth the shirt on their back.

I'm just glad a decision has been made. Recently since the results have dipped I have had doubts about Ainsworth but I think when you consider we are club cutting costs left, right and centre and to lose 10-11 first team players to injury is so difficult to judge him fairly. Not only that his only options in the transfer market are loan signings until January. I think the difficulty in fielding a squad (with the injuries) is highlighted by Tuesday's squad, which included 9 teenagers, a 39 year old and a 40 year old!

I wouldn't like the idea of leaving the decision till January as that would have just left more doubt the whole time. We need some stability at this time. If you are taken on an inexperienced manager, you are accepting exactly that, that he isn't experience so giving him 5 or 10 or 15 games still isn't making him that much more experienced. What are you looking at is potential.

The other reason I wouldn't like the idea of waiting till January is that if it was a no to Ainsworth and you then interview others, it wouldnt give the new man much time (if any) to assess the squad and make use of the January transfer window.

I am by no means saying that I think he is necessarily the best option but I am just glad it has been decided and we can hopefully move forward. Gareth now knows he has the job permanently and so can plan what he wants to do in January (funds permitting) and going forward.

Provided the injury situation improves, which I am sure it will gradually, I don't think we will go down. I don't think we will tear up any trees but hopefully climb a few places! Take Aldershot, that was the best they had in terms of squad and we had a whole teams worth injured. Not all of those would necessarily get in but getting players back would promote more competition for places and raise player's games.

congratulations to gaz - i have my doubts but hopefully he can turn it around. when he gets a full squad back i think we will be comfortable. his main concern though has to be either getting archer on a season long loan or bringing in another keeper - ingram may be too young (im not really sure) and harrisons just emergancy backup
