just throwing it out there Passion for the badge Has tactics Management experience One of the future? You're all going to slag me off - but I want someone at the helm who give a XXXX about our team and club
A possibility at some time in the future. He's doing brilliantly on a shoestring at Wycombe, especially as they only stayed up on the last day of last season, so he knows about adversity. If TF leads us to financial disaster who knows, Gazza might be just the man...
NO for two reasons: * Ainsworth's first spell in charge of us * Ainsworth's second spell in charge of us
He was very close to getting the boot at Wycombe way before the end of last season. A lot of fans really wanted him out. The only thing that kept him in a job was the fact that it would have cost too much to pay him off.
No- passion is probably bottom of the list of priorities. Paolo Di Canio had plenty of passion at Sunderland. The biggest factor in any manager is intelligence. Look at United, City, Chelsea and Arsenal. Passion gets you a short term boost but we need continuity and next manager need to be one we can keep 5-6 years plus Ainsworth is a nostalgic gamble we can't afford to take. For me if Eddie Howe is a no go i'd try Gary Rowett who's turned Birmingham round and did a great job at Burton
If you look at the 4 clubs you mention, what (aside from money) do they have in common? Foreign coaches, and that's where I would be looking. Just as English players have fallen behind the rest, so have English/British coaches.
ANYONE..........................................PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.......................ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, I think we have narrowed it down for a cross between a 'medical carer' ( for the elderly ) and a 'Kindergarten Teachers Assistant' with special needs ability to cater to the young, stupid and overweight. Applicants must meet Selection Criteria Able to change nappies during stoppage time, essential. Able to pick up spat dummies at a moments notice. Ability to massage egos without prejudiced. Can pick up players from family babysitters. ( drivers licence and ability to change flat SUV tyres whilst broken down, a must. ) and finally .......... Applicants must be prepared to work with Bond, better still, provide winning solutions to the coaching staff. If you feel you meet our selection criteria, please apply immediately !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Luigi Di Canio anyone? He did say he wanted to comeback and do the job properly. However, brief look at Wiki does not imply a glittering career and currently out of work (I think). Loved the football he got that team playing. "We're gonna win, when Rangers sing, Di Canio"!! And we did, on occasions, too.
I think Harry has lost his managerial nous, I don't believe he ever had any passion (for QPR at least). So, yes...a lot like Harry.
Ainsworth openly admits, he is on a huge learning curve and has already changed his approach\ style of management over the last 6 months. He was too much one of the lads and not enough the boss, you'll now see him in the dugout with Shirt and Jacket rather than tracksuit. Best of luck to him but obviously not one for us at the moment.
Well Wycombe obviously love him as he's just signed a new long-term contract, according to the Football League Programme this morning it is a five and a half year deal... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30604822
