What you rekon lads, with the majority of the signings in now how do you think we will fair this season? With a bad spell last season we still managed to end the season on 47points and end up in 10th place which was the aim at the start of the season.

So lads whats the aim's for this season in your opinion

I rekon 55points should be the aim for this year with the new players in and the stronger squad I cannot see anyother injury crisis happening like last season if we reach that target surely that would be a 7th/8th finish and an improvement on last season.

also a good cup run in one if not both of the cups. We have a strong squad now so we should have a good chance of doing quite IMO.

Any improvement on 10th, no slumps, and no-one calling for Bruce's head at the end of the season. Then we've made progress

I'd love to see us pick up some silverware...the squad that Bruce is putting together should be capable (with a fair wind) of getting one...as for the league....top 8 as bare minimum.

It should be a year of steady improvement.

Really looking forward to this one!

More to the point, I wonder what Mr Short has said about that?

    **** it. I want a cup WIN!

Portsmouth, Birmingham and (ulp!) Boro have all won things recently, so why not us?

So, it's a cup, 55 points, finishing higher than the mags and two derby wins for me. At this stage of the season, anything is possible...

Well for me the aim should be 7th, top of the 2nd league as it is. It's possible but I don't think we will finish above: man u, chelski, man city, arsenal, Liverpool, spurs.

We need 2 more players, a striker and a left winger. Get them and 7th and a cup run is possible.

It should be possible to win just three more games than this season, especially when you consider the home defeats in the last 6 weeks of the season. That would give us 15 wins, 11 draws and 12 defeats giving us 56 points.

In 200/01 that would have put us in 8th position one place behind where we actually finished with 57 points. In subsequent seasons 56 would have placed us 7th, 8th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 7th, 9th, 7th, 9th and 7th last season.

56 points a good target for further improvement and a happy Ellis Short. If that gives us Europe, thats a bonus .... maybe the cup route to Europe is more realistic.

8th absolute minimum! (With no arse clenching.)

Lets show the cups some respect too.

From all my years of supporting SAFC, 73 is still the highlight.

    We aren't title contenders yet! ( :p )

The FA cup still means a hell of a lot to me.

I hate the way the Premiership has some how downgraded this great old competition.
