Usual lazy journalism for me - an ex-Celtic player wanting to come back to the UK - it is an easy story to write - no more accuaracy than James Collns, Gabby A, Steven Warnock etc. Wait and see somebody will link us with Anthony Stokes before long
Managers do tend to go for players they know and have experience of. McGeady was at Celtic under Marty and both will know each other well. I can see this story having some truth to it but like the N'Zogbia on off transfer, a lot will depend on money for fee and wages. We shall see. BTW - I think the lad is a cracking footballer on his day and can play both flanks and through the middle.
To be fair, that was the figure being talked about 2 years ago and the lad has got much better still since then.
But if and it's a big IF the club were to spend £12m on a player, my guessing it would be for a striker, not a midfielder....
Sorry Billy couldn't disagree with you more. I liked this lad a couple of years ago but thought he may be a bit too inexperienced. 2 years on and he looks a real player now. He went 2 years ago for £9m from Celtic mate. He has grown as a man and as a player, what makes you think Spartak Moscow would sanction a £4m loss on an asset they dont want to lose? Would you be happy if we sold Sessegnon for £2m?
all these posters saying he is rubbish have you actually watched him for Spartak? I thought not the lad was outstanding in his first season over there Seems the trend with wingers to play them on the other side as with McGeady he has operated from the right wing for Spartak As for signing him I say no because of the fact I cannot see MoN having a warchest to go out and get whoever he wants. I think there is better value for money in the prem and across europe

True but Celtic skinned the flush with oil & gas money Russians, he was way overpriced then but they paid it as they are awash with cash. I never said he was rubbish. I SAID HE'S WAY OVERPRICED. Now do you see what I said?
yes mate as I said in the last paragraph, there is better value for money out there, Spartak are not going to sell him at a loss and I cannot see us spending 12m on a winger so it rules us out I would imagine. better value for money out there IMO
Finally someone talking sense! Agree totally cest. McGeady can play either wing or centrally! We dont have to get rud of Mcclean it Sessegnon to fit him in.
