He's a quality CF and one of the best in the world. Why is it that he's never the centre of any bid from other clubs in the transfer window? One of the continental clubs at the very least? He's been at City 5 years and no interest from anyone else?

As far as Spain is concerned, he used to play for Atletico. Which means he'd be about as popular as a pork chop at a Jewish wedding reception with Real fans. So unless Barca ( unlikely) or his old club want him back, there's nowhere else to go.

I'm not so sure NSIS, look at Etoo and Figo. And the fact they went for De Gea last year. They probably get pleasure out of pinching a rival's player.

What about PSG or Bayern or Juve?

He's currently at a club that fills his wallet and other clubs can't afford to match that when you factor the fact he's never fully fit.

He'd be up there with Suarez, Messi and Ronaldo et al if he didn't have his injury problems IMO.

He now has the same number of goals in the Premier League as Didier Drogba.

But has played 102 games less.

He's been the best player in the league for a few years. Despite the fact that he's injured a lot, he's always up there with the top scorers. Vardy and Kane are amateur goal scorers compared to him. Barca and Real must have enquired but been told there's no chance. Maybe he likes an easy life...?

Bayern, Man U, Man city, Chelsea, Barca, Real Madrid, I'd say those were the team that don't need the money and will only sell their best (Ronaldo) if they demand the move.

His wages are good. He gets regular English league silverware.
Continual participation in the CL etc.

The only thing IMHO that would make him move is if he desires a
CL winners medal and Citeh don't look like ever getting close.

Lots of valid points. However I'd argue that the best players from continental europe and south america still see the pinnacle of their career at somewhere like Real Madrid or Barca if given the opportunity.

Because he plays in front of 90k fans every week and it would be hard to prise him from of one the world's great clubs?

Only because they are two clubs most likely to win the CL in particular, and
because of the hispanic connections in general.

I thought you just bought them off the peg from Saints?

Edit; though after a season with you, any touch of superstardom tends to evaporate.
