Welcome to Duchatelet's obscene version of Charlton in 2016. There is a letter circulating on social media this morning from Cliff Eager (Stadium Safety Manager) to a season ticket holder. The letter states that the Club (Olly Groome) has noticed that this fan has made unhelpful remarks about the owners on Charlton social media, "it is not helpful when such comments are posted on social media"- and that before this fan's season ticket can be renewed, he must make an appointment with Mr Eagles in order to sign a "ABC" - Agreed Behavioural Contract. I promise I am not making this up. His season ticket will then be issued on a "conditional" basis. Is this really how low this owner has sunk to in his dealings with loyal fans ?
Would prefer to know what the supporter said before I make any judgement. Assuming it was something anti-social/threatening then what have the club done wrong here?
This is why I do things anonymously... Force of habit during my activist years with Anon. They cannot find an unknown individual, or prosecute a man in a mask, yet hides in plain sight.
Surprised at this comment Kish. If the fan in question had said something threatening and the club had proof, they should report it to the police and refuse to sell him a season ticket. We must therefore assume that he didn't, and that the club wants his season ticket money but also wants to tell him how to think and behave. It is what it is- bullying from weak minded employees in thrall to a horrible arrogant twat of a CEO. And as with everything Meire touches, it has backfired in spectacular fashion.
Inclined to agree with Nick - if it was that bad you'd assume they'd not offer him a ticket and report him.
Certainly a novel new approach to encouraging fan attendance "You can only come in if you think like we do"
Outrageous blackmailing your own fans...I'm sure that Katrien must be in league with Oyston ...probably meet every third Wednesday to think up their next outrageous move against their own fans ! North Korea alive and flourishing in SE7
Staggering reaction to the letter on Twitter Gratifying to see the decent fans of so many other clubs Tweeting about it
This must be the new stadium officer, the old one resigned at the end of last season. It hasn't taken him long to buy into the bunker mentality.
and there was Slade asking the fans to stay with the team on Saturday .... he has been knifed in the back by the Bitch .... Jezus! ... with the help of Olly 'Quisling' Groom...
We obviously need to be careful what we write on here now, as O**y G*****e is clearly reporting back to the Bitch.
