Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini says his players are to blame for their faltering Premier League title challenge, reports the Daily Telegraph. "When you play football and you are a top player, you should take your responsibility, always," Mancini says. "It's not always the fault of the manager. The players should take responsibility." Agree or disagree?
Somewhat only if a manager tells you to play in a certain position or in a certain way and it goes T1TS up whose fault is it then we have no idea what he says to his players in the dressing room, Look at City we were pants with players playng out of position under McInnis but the same players in virtually identical system under S O'D can suddenly play could the difference be the instructions they were given by the manager about how he wanted them to play?
Agree - With what Hawk says above. Largely it's down to the players of course, and class should always tell.
when he takes silva off for maicon when their 3-1 down it's down to the manager iswell.. So a bit of both really.
In my opinion, mid to late twenty something pro footballers who have been playing the game since they were 6 years old, should be able to read a game on the field and respond to it without some sort of robot like instruction from the manager. This is why continental players appear to be more clever than our homegrown players, its pathetic they cant take responsibility for their own actions, when Lionel Messi is sent on to a pitch do you think his managers have ever filled his head with instructions?
Almost certainly they would have 1) Play your own game son 2) Let the other 9 outfield players fetch and carry the ball for you 3) Just try and score a few goals there's a good lad.
