What a disgrace to my kids
I look upon the FA as a yard stick - FA cup. FA football league: a litmus paper for all that is well for not only me to watch the game, but for my nippers.
In making this decision the FA has ignored an opportunity to send the message that every child/person has agency. Instead, what they have posited is that opportunity and thereby agency belongs to a select few who can afford to disregard the interests of the majority. This goes further than football - it is about who controls how we treat each other, and indeed, how we treat the very world we live in. We are at a time when it seems likely that a continuation of current social and environmental practice could lead to complete degradation of both community and eco-system. Instead of a message which says, "lets be accountable", we get this, a statement of, "if you can afford it, do whatever the F**k you like".
Cheers, OTBC and lest this path not be one we tread.
