James Pearce from the Echo says Daniel Agger is responding well to treatment and could return against Norwich. Borini may be back training by the end of the week.
Good, Agger maybe on the bench against Norwich? I would like to see Coates get a bit more of a run in the team. As for Borini, I can't see him coming good until Brendan plays him down the middle, would rather see a couple youngsters played out wide than him.
He played one game there... was it Sunderland? Anyhow, he was better there but still mediocre at best.
The positive news about Agger at the time was that he suffered bruising. As we all know from getting bruises, there is initial pain but it never lasts.
I don't want Agger to come back too soon and injure himself again. Great player, but he's made of meringue. I don't agree that Borini is mediocre, we need him to start getting goals for sure, but his movement off the ball is good- he makes a lot of space for others. For him to start scoring, I agree he needs to play in the middle and get in the box where it hurts.
