The life sucking leeches of today, football agents, are paid extortionate fees and need to be more strictly controlled. https://www.geordiebootboys.com/tra...goal-striker-target-set-to-become-free-agent/ How on earth can the client, in this case Jonathan David, be on a ‘free’ and be looking for a salary of £5M a year and the Agent be looking for a commission fee of £10M??? I don’t know what the answer is but that essentially is money going out of football and affecting Club’s psr position. Can’t ban them per se. Require the player to pay and he simply hikes his wage demands. Possibly, impose a limit on how much Clubs can pay per year but again easy to get round.
I know. It's like when you own something, but if you want to sell it, some shady ****er charges a fee for advertising it, then another one charges to survey it, then another one charges something to sign off on it, then has the ****ing cheek to charge fee's for a bank transfer so you can get your own money back
When people stop you in the street to shake your hand When you travel around the country and people say your the guy..... etc. That's when you know who's famous
True story this. Olivier Bernard sat at the table next to us in shearers couple of years ago, hung being asked for selfies and stuff and Olivier Bernard being completely ignored despite being guest speaker. Look on his face was mint
Just playing devils advocate - if he were on 100k a week and we compare him to our most recent free acquisition, Lloyd Kelly, who's on £150k per week - the £50k saving over 5 years would be £13m... and that's without knowing what Kelly and his Agent took in fees. Edit - just to add that I think agents are scum and there is now ay they should demand pay of clubs. you are employed by the player get your fee's out of their side.
The 10m is in euros. And I think but I may be wrong that agent fees are capped at 5% of wages the player gets. So a 5 year deal on £100 a week is £26m. 5% would be 1.3m. Not sure if these rules are right mind.
Agent fees are only capped in nfl and nba fifa and uefa lost a court case recently at even suggesting they cap agents fees in football
Yeah rules seem far stricter in US. They’re not allowed to tap up kids and parents etc. kids have to complete college before they get drafted etc. over here it’s a free for all from a young age.
Ha ha. I missed the k. Still agents are ****. You’re not wrong about the post. Utterly ridiculous amounts they leech from the game.
