    Newcastle boss Alan Pardew feels he already effectively has five new signings at his disposal as his search for new talent continues.

    The Magpies have landed Yohan Cabaye and free transfers Demba Ba and Sylvain Marveaux since the end of last season, and are still working on their remaining targets.

    However, with Hatem Ben Arfa and Dan Gosling now back to full fitness, Pardew is also looking forward to seeing what they can bring to the squad.

    he is taking your injured players as new signings it dosent look good for future signings <party>

    Use your head son, it's July 1st, the transfer window opened today. Pardew said they're LIKE new signings, not they are new signings.

    I wish both sets of fans would just shut their mouths about each other until 20/8/11. THEN somebody will have the right to gloat (unless it's a draw, which it probably will be.

    Marveaux or Larsson= Marveaux
    Cabaye or Gardner= Cabaye
    Ba or Wickam= currently Ba, but maybe in the future if Wickam proves himself he may be better, but for now Ba is a better PL player.

    So yes the signings are going good! :)
