When I saw the names on the bench it hit home the fantastic changes we have made recenly: Bass - 24 Hume - 20 Matette - 21 Diallo - 20 Bennette - 18 Ba - 19 Dajaku - 21 Average - 20.4 Add Michut, Cirkin, Ballard & Huggins who are all of a similar age to the outfield players above then the future looks fantastic.
Average age of our first 11 is 25. That is very young. Patterson - 22 Alese - 21 Clarke - 21 Neil - 20 Embleton -24 We have a lot to be excited about. Also need to be patient though.
Well said Fell, patience is the key, mistakes will be made and some on here show themselves up imo how they go on about Patto, 09 and Gooch to name but three. Non of them are perfect they'd be playing for City or the bindippers if they were, but I can understand them seeing faults that occur during a match but to then disect it to the Nth degree really pisses me off. Players are not above criticism, I just ask that it's fair and balanced when needs be. Why can't fans just be happy about the complete transformation of our club.
This is the thing. Assuming they are all good enough (which they are) then surely they are only going to get better in the coming years
Haven't really seen other scores, just back from the game. Probably a bit harsh to say Neil would'nt have made subs to make a point but don't think he would've fancied having so many young lads on the bench to throw on. Can't see him putting ba, bennette and Matete on. Don't think he ever rated Matete tbh, thought he's been class last two games when he's come on.
Then we have Mowbray who honestly seems as enthusiastic as any fan that we have young lads who are showing so much potential. When he talks about the young lads as individuals you can tell he is excited and enjoying working with them! Which is weird cause he doesn't actually get animated or excited but it just comes across imo!
