Agard delighted to open City account. please log in to view this image New arrival off the mark with deflected strike. Kieran Agard declared his delight after bagging his first City goal at the weekend. The striker opened his account for his new club on his third appearance with the final goal in Saturdayâs 3-0 home victory over Doncaster Rovers. It was a result which lifted City to the top of Sky Bet League One and extended their winning run to three matches. âIâm delighted to get off the mark. I thought the boys were fantastic today and weâre delighted to be top of the league,â Agard told Bristol City Player. The £750,000 arrival from Rotherham United was in the right place at the right time to convert Joe Bryanâs cutback after the wing-back had caught Doncasterâs Reece Wabara dallying in possession. "nbsp;"âWhen he dispossessed him I just thought to myself âget in the boxâ; Iâve seen him coming and just tried to get myself a bit of space,â Agard revealed. âIâve checked back, heâs given me the ball, Iâve taken a touch and itâs got deflected but Iâm delighted itâs gone in. âThe keeper pulled off a few good saves and I came out of my shell after that â I was playing with freedom and the boys were fantastic feeding me. âIâm getting fitter all the time and you only get that by playing games. At the moment Iâm feeling good. âTheyâre a terrific bunch of lads who all made me feel welcome from the first day I got here. Itâs going from good to better and Iâm delighted to be a part of it.â Read more at http://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/article/20140915-agardpostdoncaster-1915003.aspx#MFeLkdJstZsYJyeV.99 Nice one Kieran, now go for 20..
I imagine there will be a lot of pressure on him to succeed, considering that he's a replacement for the top scorer in League 1 last year. I'm glad that he's opened his account, and I expect more from him once he settles into the team. That being said, Wilbraham is on fire this season!
