Afternoon ´Blues` What´s the latest news Down your way, anything to report, Jay Emmanuel T. Has joined so I see That´s two now from Cardiff you´ve bought Any more on the way And how has the play Been, here just a good week or so, From game number one And the start of the fun As you know, I always like to know Are you happy or sick Now you´re minus the `Wick` You at least got a pretty good price, In fact, very good And Sunderland could Almost said to have been just too nice Have you filled up the gaps And removed all the saps So that this year could be yours too, With luck we´ll be here Up in the top tier To play the Anglian Derby anew.
Hi Barclay, Good work as usual. I'm happy to see your penchant for poetry remains. A top flight "Old Farm" does sound appealing but I'm not sure we'll do it this season. We're headed in the right direction manager, players, ticket sales & hopefully atmosphere wise, just the results to get. Good luck with the bigger boys league and hopefully we'll renew hostilities in a cup competition.
Your little rhyme is well received Your interest is noted My response to you is to the point And a lot less sugar coated The signings that we've made thus far Are pretty good I'd say A bit more work still to be done But we're well on our way We could be up their challenging A top six spot for Town But if we got promoted We'd pass you coming down So I can't see that the old farm clash Is likely for a while And when our places are reversed We'll look down at you and smile We'll make sure that we're not too smug And don't make too much fuss We wouldn't have a big parade On a double deck bus. Because when you're used to winning things Like this club has and will There's no need to go OTT It's really run of mill. But Budgies on the other hand Cannot claim such success So the smallest of achievements Are welcomed there I guess. Limited edition ties For every corner won Polo shirts with date and year For a two match winning run A penalty awarded By the referee - the fool Means a personalised certificate From the Grunt Hog diving school Unfortunately, you'll never hit The heights of Ipswich Town And you know this in your heart of hearts But don't you get too down. But whatever fate our future holds We'll worship blue and white And thank our lucky stars we're not In green and yellow sh**e
What you two get up to in your own time is your business but please don't feel the need to share it with us. Warky would be most upset
Rushmere, I´ll follow with note Your season as I always do, To see if you sink or can float With your skipper and his brand new crew Your confidence, even if it´s misplaced I admire, at this early stage here, Before any of you have faced What seems a tough Championship year But I´m sure you´ll huff and you´ll puff Until you´re all blue in the face, My guess is, that it will be tough Only the best though, end in the best place.
Now that it´s one minute 2-9 I thought I´d just pop in again, To say that success would be fine For both of our team´s merry men To see us both battle away Would warm any Anglian heart, And who knows if this coming May Will be the signal for it all to start.
