They say 24 hours is a long time in politics, well, 90 minutes is a long time in a football match. A few quick points regarding our great club, and believe me, I love Leeds United i) Crowds dwindling (Only 22,000 yesterday) ii) No clean sheets in any competition all season iii) 4th red card, and 18 yellow iv We have not strenthened our ever so fragile defense v) Moral on and off the pitch looks poor. On a positive notice :- i) McCormack is the leading goal scorer in the division and looks a different player ii) What a gem Lonaghan seems to be (well done Grayson) iii) Clayton must be one of our best players (what a goal) and again (well done Grayson) iv) We still seem to be scoring on average two goal a game v) We all Love Leeds and Leeds and Leeds... There are times where you can't play as well as you want and have to dig deep, show a gritty risolve, and grind out a result; thats what we have done over the last couple of weeks (with a bit of luck), lets hope we can keep it going, and put a decent run together. Had a thought (dream, but lets not go into that ) that we could have a new 'Good Morning' thread on Tuesdays called 'Topless Tuesdays'. We had a quick vote and a staggering 103% of you would like Pags and sww to... , well lets say be actively involved, any thoughts on this ??? Song of the afternoon, lets have a bit of Kylie with 'I should be so lucky'.
I'll respond! Moral seems to be the problem, though we are showing more resilience than last season when the scores are levelled instead of only stepping up a gear when trying to come from 1 down. Off the pitch morale? Got a story there? Has Grayson said anything about the number of cards. Surprised if he isn't worrying about that with such a thin squad.
No, I'm only speculating. Seems a bit odd that Grayson is firm favourite (even after winning 2 on the trot) to lose his job in the championship and I suspect all is not well in the board room between Bates and the rest of the board.
