    Indeed

A chance to carry the momentum of 2 home wins into a game against a mid table outfit, albeit that were in the Prem last year.

Starting planning for L1 boys cuz we ain't getting out of this.

Listening to the match would say the difference between the two sides was Jordan Rhodes mind you the injury to Carey didn't help.

This is why we needed a defender in <doh> we're relying on a 36 year old for **** sake. Going down is a lot more likely now.

So do I RR but we needed a player in the transfer market. Why couldn't he just loan someone then rather than wait another 2 weeks just to get the same outcome?

I don't think this defeat was too unexpected and the euphoria generated by the last 2 games was a bit over the top. To be brutally honest we didn't exactly set the footballing world on fire with our performances against Ipswich and Watford and to expect us to go to Ewood Park and roll all over Blackburn was a wish too far.

We need better players in certain positions and unless we cover those deficiencies in the next few weeks then we could be doomed to the unthinkable.

Think pos Shiny its only 1 game at least you won the last two so 6 pts out of 9 most teams would take that anyday as for Carey on the radio O Driscoll said that his foot was in a special boot so you will have to wait a few days and see what the outcome is.

Forest up next nothing like a grudge match, the positives are that they have lost two out of the last three so have hit a rocky patch ripe for the taking also O Driscoll should know there weaknesses and strengths so City should have a a good advantage.

6 points out of a possible 9, Blackburn in the Premier League last season, we have not gone out and splashed all of the cash ( budget) as some have, we've moved more high earners and wasters out and SOD has now got the room, time and finance to prove himself and save us from the big drop....

I will settle for that, a man with a plan....<ok>

Same old deficiencies, same old players that keep making the same old mistakes!

You will keep getting all the same old results!

If Mckinnes had failed to get an obviously more than ever needed centre half this window there would have been uproar. We have been calling for this for 2 years!! We haven't got another 2 weeks to muck about..

    Its so ****in obvious...

we have to buy the right player, not just any player.

Form what I heard, we did hit the post and had another effort skim the bar. Its tough away from home as teams will expect to beat us and keep pressing. Thats why Albert is useful as it keeps the opposition thinking about a fast break-away, so they have to keep players back.

I am resigned to whatever happens, and its a pain that Barnsley have won 5/6 (when i had them nailed on for relegation). But there are now maybe as many as 10 teams in the relegation zone, so it will probably go down to the last few games. Keep the faith.

What the match boiled down to according to reports Davies hit the wood work 3 times Rhodes put the ball in the back of the net twice by such small margines are matches won and lost

And where the hell was Albert when we needed him the most - down in Africa for the annual winter sunshine break for anyone playing in cold Europe.

Do you get the impression that I am ticked off at these players disappearing every January for a warm break whilst their employers are enduring cold weather games and possibly major crises back home?

We are not the only team that is suffering due to the African Cup of Nations and it's time for the league to say no longer. Nothing better than a good rant on Sunday morning and it has nothing to do with yesterday's loss that might have been different if Albert had decided to stick around. Sell him asap!

In agreement Mike - at least FIFA should compensate the clubs for wages
At least it sounds as though we made a better showing at Ewood Park than in the cup - small progress??

Common chaps. Not all doom and gloom!! It has become difficult, but certainly not outside the realms of sensible possibility. In real terms City now need to get at least the full hand of results every three matches. One win. one draw and allow for one defeat. Is that impossible? I think not. McGuiness had a purple patch over nine or ten games last season, Wardie is having one at Rovers. It's just SOD's turn that's all!!
