Intriguing that Kamara and others are (rightly) calling for officials to be retrained in the rules of the game. The same Chris Kamara who (amongst others) shared a damn good laugh with Steve Bruce after the beachball goal that any referee who knew that goal shouldn't have stood was a 'Saddo'?

Cameron was disgusted by Suarez' nibble, the same Cameron who accepted political favours for covering the tracks of predatory child abusers.

    Life's full of hypocrisy<whistle>

Keepers should stop bouncing the ball. There's no reason they need to do it.

Also think GK's need to be less complacent when they are possession of the ball. Too many believe the rules will protect them from making stupid mistakes

Hmmm. Rob Green made the point then, how do they release the ball unless they throw it out?

To be fair to Chelsea Mutch shouldn't have been on the pitch for the incident to be an issue. He handled the ball outside the area earlier on in the game which should have seen him walk.

Let's face it , it was against the rules and if it had happened to mourhino he would have been furious. In fact any manager/team/supporter would. In fact if the away team had done it it would never have stood.

Marshall might have handled outside the box, though the video didn't display that very clearly in my opinion, but he would've only got a yellow had it been given, as he wasn't denying a clear goalscoring opportunity.
There was a defender between Eto'o and the ball/keeper.

Getting 2 decisions wrong doesn't make everything fine. So I'm not sure how that's relevant? Unless they would've played the rest of the game without a keeper.

The rules are the rules at the end of the day.

Personally I would have it that if the ball is out of the goalie's hands then its open play which would be logic.

    But hey.

then you'll have someone on top of the keeper at every kickout trying to trying to kick the ball as they kick it out, ruining the game and injuring 10 keepers a week

There must be a way round that though, I swear you used to be able to do that.

When the goalie has both hands on the ball they must be six yards away or something along those lines.

More you think about it the more difficult it becomes.

True that. I think the rules are fine, how often does this happen, not enough to warrant a change in the rules, a bit of keeper cop on is all that is needed, do not let the ball out of your hands when an opposing player is right next to you:) if you do that then the player will move away, if he stays on you and hounds you as you try release it the ref will def give a free kick
