In the '' Nani I want to stay at manchester United for life'' thread, there's a debate going on about who's the 3rd most important player i said Nani because he create something out of nothing and can score wonder goals as well but there are others saying Valencia i ado agree with them because he's been one of the reason why we are top of the league at this moment in time and has been superb for us this season, Scholes has been excellent since he cam back from his retirement, the break did him and us a world of good and has felt like a new signing, Carrick has been awesome for us this season, he should've been in the england squad a few months ago wehn they were playing the Netherlands, to me he's the best 3rd best midifielder alongside Xavi and Iniesta.

matth - it depends how and what you are measuring

We are top of the table and havent had vidic all season (virtually)

We won last season and had 'issues' with rooney and berba got the golden boot

scholes returns has been more vital than the other two this season

are rooney and vidic that important?

Rooney certainly is scored 26 leagues so far this season just one less than van persie.

point is someone stepped in, in both cases

importance would be if we had lost when a player was missing

I still think we need a midfielder to replace Keane, fletcher and scholes (younger). The reality is we haven't replaced them properly. We have had a version of scholes I.e himself. But he cannot be the long term solution.
